Episode 10 - A Rival Battle for Club Champ Short Description Of Episode Ash, Iris, and Cilan meet up with Trip once again on the way to Nacrene City, after they stop by a Battle Club owned by another Don George. There, Ash challenges Trip to a 5-on-5 battle. Ash's Oshawott and Tepig are easily defeated by Trip's new Tranquill, and Pikachu manages to finish the job off. Trip's newly evolved Servine emerges, still able to beat Pikachu. Ash's female Snivy takes advantage of the gender differences, and manages to use a combo of Attract, Vine Whip, Leaf Storm, and Leaf Blade to finish off the Pokémon. Frillish is then sent out, beating Pidove quickly. Ash loses the battle due to the fact that Snivy keeps on attacking Frillish with the same moves over and over when its ability Cursed Body disables the moves and with a combination of Water Pulse's confusing effect and Hex, manages to take the win for Trip. Episode 07 - Snivy Plays Hard To Catch Short Description Of Episode While having lunch on the way to the next city, Cilan discovers that all the food he prepared has been stolen. The group discovers that a Snivy has stolen the food. Ash attempts to capture it, attacking with Pikachu; though the Snivy (which is female) uses Attract, making Pikachu unable to fight her, and escapes. Ash sends out Pidove to track the Snivy down, just as Team Rocket. finds her instead. Jessie tries to capture her, but fails. Pidove finds the Snivy and signals Ash, who tries to use Oshawott and then later Tepig, but they are also hit by Attract. Episode 05 - Triple Leaders, Team Threats Short Description Of Episode Ash and Iris finally reach Striaton City, where they meet Pokémon Connoisseur Cilan at the market. He sees that Pikachu and Ash are very compatible and he invites Ash and Iris to the Striaton Gym, only for Ash to be surprised that it is a restaurant instead. Chili and Cress introduce themselves, as well, and put on a show in the restaurant until Ash becomes angry that he was tricked. However, the three brothers reveal themselves as the Striaton Gym Leaders, showing him the Gym's battlefield. To their surprise, Ash decides to fight all three Gym Leaders for the Trio Badge. Tepig fights Chili's Pansear and wins. Pikachu goes up against Cress's Panpour, but loses. In the final match, Oshawott is sent in against Cilan's Pansage. Episode 04 - The Battle Club and Tepig's Choice Short Description Of Episode On their way to Striaton City Gym, Ash and Iris stop by in Accumula Town and find the Battle Club owned by Don George. After watching a battle between a Servine and a Dewott, Ash challenges the Dewott's owner, shortly before an intruder alarm goes off. Ash sees a Pokémon's dark shape on the security tape, and identifies it as an Umbreon. Ash and Iris help Don George capture the intruder, which turns out to be a Tepig with a rope tied around its mouth. Ash unties the rope as Don George find Meowth painted like an Umbreon as Jessie and James raid the Battle Club's storage, finding Pikachu (who Oshawott had knocked out earlier). After Don George sees the Tepig, he explains to Ash that it was left behind by a trainer who tied it up after it lost a battle at the Club; it later escaped with the rope still tied. Episode 03 - A Sandile Gusher of Change Short Description Of Episode While on their way to the first Gym, Ash and Iris realize that they are being followed by the Oshawott from Professor Juniper's lab. They find out it wants to be captured by Ash when he called it very cute. Juniper sends Ash Oshawott's Poké Ball, but Oshawott disappears before he can be recaptured. They soon come across a boy named Dan, whose father owns a resort with a sand spa that has been disrupted by a group of Sandile, led by one wearing sunglasses. After coming across Oshawott and Team Rocket again, Ash, Iris, and Dan discover that the Sandile were trying to get help for a group of Pidove, Deerling, and Patrat from a hot spring on the verge of flooding. When it floods and traps the other Pokémon on a small island, the Sandile form a bridge to save them, but Ash is trapped on the island when their grip fails. Oshawott manages to save them with a Water Gun, and Ash uses the opportunity to recapture Oshawo

Episode 02 - Enter Iris and Axew Short Description Of Episode After the strange black cloud appears again, Pikachu's Electric moves are restored. Professor Juniper gives Ash a new Pokédex and Poké Balls so he can begin his journey in Unova. On his way, he comes across Iris and her Axew. When Team Rocket appears and tries to steal Pikachu and Axew, Ash tries to use his newly caught Pidove against Jessie and her new Woobat, though Pidove is overpowered; however, an Oshawott (the one from Juniper's lab) appears and saves Pikachu and Axew. Ash and Iris take Pokémon to a Pokémon Center, where Iris decides to travel with Ash and Pikachu through Unova, as she knows her way around the region. Episode 01 - In The Shadow Of Zekrom Short Description Of Episode Ash, Pikachu, Ash's mother, and Professor Oak head off for a trip to the Unova region. A strange black cloud forms overhead, and it hits Ash's Pikachu with a lightning bolt. After meeting up with Professor Juniper, Unova's lead Pokémon researcher, Ash encounters Trip, who is beginning his Pokémon League challenge with the Grass-type Pokémon Snivy, rather than the Fire-type Tepig or the Water-type Oshawott. Episode 40 - Watt's with Wattson Short Description Of Episode Ash's third Gym battle with the electric master Wattson is full of surprises when, after an encounter with a robotic Raikou, Pikachu wins the match alone with super-charged Thunderbolts. However Ash's joy at receiving the badge disappears when Pikachu turns ill, and a depressed Wattson leaves Mauville City convinced he is a weak Gym Leader. Episode 39 - A Poké-BLOCK Party Short Description Of Episode The gang finally reach Mauville City, however Ash's Gym battle is forced to wait as the gang see an advert for a Pokémon Trick House, offering anyone who makes it through with a one year supply of Pokéblocks. May is eager to win the prize, so the gang decide to enter, and meet up with a girl and her Whismur. Episode 38 - A Different Kind of Misty! Short Description Of Episode When Ash and friends get lost in a dark and foggy mountain pass, the first people they meet are Jessie, James, and Meowth of Team Rocket, fresh from their latest heist. Ash and friends manage to recover the stone the trio had stolen from a nearby lighthouse, but only in time to be themselves mistaken for the thieves. Episode 37 - Jump for Joy! Short Description Of Episode While cutting through a mountain pass, Ash and friends decide to stop into the local Pokémon Center for directions. Imagine their surprise when they discover it vacated, with no sign of Nurse Joy. The plot thickens when they take it upon themselves to investigate and discover security camera footage of a Shriftry immobilizing Joy with Sleeping Powder before carrying her off. Their only clue as to Joy's location is a mysterious entry on Shriftry in the Pokédex, indicating that these Pokémon inhabit only trees that are over 1000 years old. Episode 36 - The Spheal of Approval Short Description Of Episode Having at long last completed her Pokémon Contest, May suggests a day of recreation in Slateport City before moving on. While she and Brock shop in the city's famous market district, Ash and Max check out a local oceanic museum. What should have been a day of leisure, however, turns into one battle after another as both Team Rocket and Team Magma storm the very same museum in search of a rare rock discovered on the ocean floor. Episode 34 - Having a Wailord of a Time Short Description Of Episode Impressed at how well they had raised their own Pokémon, Nurse Joy enlists Ash and Max to babysit the Treecko, Mudkip, and Torchic awaiting a Pokémon trainer just about to begin her first journey. Episode 32 - Abandon Ship! Short Description Of Episode Ash and friends foil a Team Rocket kidnapping scheme on the high seas, but are then left high and dry themselves when Team Rocket's boat breaks down. Drifting with the tide, they eventually come to rest against an abandoned ship.
